Have you seen The Lorax? The new movie came out about a month ago and we got the chance to see it last week with Sam. Avery is still a bit too young for movies in the theatre so she had to stay home.
I have three copies of this book and the Lorax stuffed animal. So when this movie was first advertised I was very excited. I was a bit nervous that they wouldn't be able to do this awesome book justice, but they did pretty good. There were parts that I didn't love but overall they took a tough book, a tough concept and handled it in a super fun way! Sam may have been a bit too young, at least for her, because she was pretty much terrified through the whole thing!
BUT we are loving the music now!! And the message behind the songs is so fun.
I can't find a link to the music on You Tube, but you can find our two favorite songs on iTunes; "Let it Grow" and "I Love Nature". So, check them out and then sing and dance with your little ones!
Yup, super short post today! We were out of town this weekend and I spent all day today either preparing to teach an awesome bird lesson for tomorrow or working on my strawberry bed (pictures to come soon). So, I am exhausted and now have to stay up to make sure that Kentucky wins the NCAA Championship!
Happy Monday!
We saw the Lorax this weekend and really enjoyed it too! We took Kellan hoping the bright colors would at least entertain him. He LOVED the music (and all the popcorn we gave him). The girls though thought it was GREAT! They really got the message. Just so amazing that Seuss wrote that so long ago and it has such an impact today. He was pretty darn insightful! :-)

We saw the Lorax as well. And I was a little nervous too, since I LOVE the book so much. I agree they did a pretty good job. I wish it wasn't all about falling in love with a girl stuff. Oh well. The music was great and the movie was fun for the kids. Best part was we immediately went home and re-read the book! Any excuse to read the Lorax!
