Super quick post because I am headed out to dinner with a friend! SO EXCITED for some grown up girl time. Oh how badly I need this.
Anyway, we got SNOW today! The girls could not have been more excited! And I needed to shovel the driveway so we stopped at the hardware store to pick up two little kid snow shovels. Kill two birds with one stone; give them something to play with in the snow while I shovel AND have them help me with the shoveling!
They didn't last long with the actual shoveling of snow but they had fun for a little while just playing with the shovels and seeing what they could do with them.
So, if you have little ones (even two years old!) get them their own snow shovel and start training them to shovel snow early!! It can be easily disguised as play at this age!!! hehehe

The Nitty Gritty!
Okay, I have to give a little more credit to Tanya for the awesome idea of keeping out the sand toys. When the driveway shoveling was done my kiddos headed to the backyard and played for OVER AN HOUR! All they had was three shovels, three buckets and two little plastic hand rakes but the novelty of scooping, dumping, moving and piling up the snow was amazing. I loved watching them play with the snow in new ways and discover all the things they could do with it in and the toys. So thanks Tanya for the awesome idea! Every home and school should have sand toys out to play with in the snow!
