I have just recently started reading Sarah Snow's Fresh Living .
So far it is pretty good. I am enjoying learning her story about how she got to where she is, her background and up bringing that lead her to want to have a green lifestyle. I think it is very interesting how people's pasts, reasonings and life decisions that lead them to be green can be SO drastically different. Some people live more simply for purely religious, health or financial reasons that have nothing to do with helping the planet and may not even know that they ARE helping the planet, while others live a green and simple life purely because it helps the planet.
I can't wait to get further into the book and learn her tips and tricks for how to live green!

Have you read any good green living books lately? I will confess that I have not read that many that would fall into the lifestyle category of reading. I read a lot of nature writing, and a lot of "get outside with your kids" type of books but not too many that delve into making your life more sustainable.
So, link up to your book reviews or let me know in the comments if you have any good ones to suggest. We have some vacations coming up that I can hopefully catch up on some reading!
Oh and one more thing! I have a friend that started a new green mama blog that I would love for you all to check out! Head over to Malama Aina and leave her some comment love please!!! I loved her post on purging and organizing.
Welcome to the 16th week of the Green Mama Blog Hop!
Please only join this hop if you deem your blog as 'green'. It doesn't matter if you are a beginner or if you're a pro.. this Green Mama Blog Hop is for you!
My goal is to have more and more people join each week! But that can't happen without your help. If you could please post the button on your blog, as well as in a post, that would be great! Thanks so much for your involvement! I want us 'Green Mamas' to befriend each other and be there for questions or support.

And thanks for the shout out in the post :)
I've seen Sara Snow's TV show before but I'm on the fence about the book (I read it awhile back and don't remember being dazzled). If you want to read a book that is neither lifestyle nor activity oriented, pick up Gone Tomorrow: the hidden life of garbage (or something like that...) It will make you feel all kinds of yucky! But so enlightened during your next Target run :)
