What you all don't eat the insides of the pumpkin? Avery seemed to think they were yummy!
I love carving pumpkins. I love the mess, my complete lack of creative face drawing skills and of course seeing them lit up on Halloween night. Chris puts up with it and has done it with me every other year. But this year Sam actually really enjoyed the face creating part, not so much the messy part, which made it a lot more fun for Chris too. And Avery was hilarious with all the eating of the guts!
We did some yard work outside today. Sam really enjoyed pulling out the flowers, helping to trim the bushes and raking up the leaves.
BUT she also (after about 10 minutes) told me she was too cold to be outside. It was in the high 40s today! If that is too cold for her I am in trouble this winter in trying to get her outside.
And we got THIS in the mail today.
Isn't this wrapped adorably?
This is what was inside -
I got a box full of the most amazing natural items! ACORNS! Morning Sun Rae is amazing and felt bad that I didn't have acorns to do my acorn painting a while back so she said she would mail me some! And do you see those big acorns in the middle? They are felt acorns. So adorable. Sam had a blast opening up all the packages and finding the treasures inside. Those big furry looking acorn caps are just begging to be turned into some kind of creatures hat! Let the creative juices flow! Thank you Momma Rae for the amazing package today.

Loving the acorns!
