I won my first giveaway! Tiger Tales sent me their book "Five Little Pumpkins". It is an adorable Halloween book that Sam is loving right now.
Today we acted out the book with our own five little pumpkins. While I read the book Sam used the pumpkins as puppets to tell the story. It was adorable.
And here is how I have to read to Avery to keep her captivated! I have discovered that props really help.
*Disclaimer - This is my FIRST VLOG where I am actually in the video and not just my kids so I am feeling VERY vulnerable! Please do not look at the crazy eyes that appear several times throughout the video.
So we are enjoying pumpkins right now and our new pumpkin book!

The Nitty Gritty!
I love combing green activities, with books, songs, crafts or anything else that I can to get both girls more involved. And I have been overwhelmed this Fall with all the great learning, fun and crafting ideas that are out there dealing with pumpkins. Now that Sam has been to a pumpkin patch and seen them growing on the vine she has a better understanding for what a pumpkin is and where it comes from and loves doing anything with pumpkins!
First stop in looking for ideas to do with pumpkins has to be Little Learners Lounge - A Plethora of Pumpkins.
For the little ones you have to check out The Activity Mom - Baby Activity Where is Pumpkin? and Baby Activity Pumpkin Songs .
And Toddler Craft has a bunch of Halloween and pumpkin crafts for little ones to do. Go here to see some of them.
Our two year old is sitting in my lap holding one of those 'baby pumpkins' as the calls it. She loves your video and asks me to keep playing it. Very cute. We have a similar book about 10 trick-or-treaters. Can't linger. She wants to see it again.

My daughter picked out a tiny pumpkin like that at the store. She would NOT put it down.
