Today was a mixture of lots of things. We were lazy and went no where. Took long naps at strange times. And played a lot.
The bunnies made a repeat performance.
We read lots of our favorite books.
And we made another bird feeder. The squirrel nut thing did not hold up well on our tree. Not because the peanut butter melted or that the ball fell apart but simply because the twine that I used to tie it up with snapped and the ball fell to the ground. The neighbors dog thought it was quite a tasty treat!
So since that fell I decided we needed to make something else to hang up.
What you are looking at is those mesh bags that onions come in. We took two of those bags, doubled up and filled the bottom with sunflower seeds. Then we tied it off with a bread tie. We filled the second section with broken up peanuts and tied that one off as well. Super simple.
It is amazing how many different homemade bird feeder ideas are out there. I actually saw one today using an old hair brush! Not kidding, an old hair brush! You bet I will be trying that one sometime soon!!!
We also worked on lots of recycled halloween crafts today because I am going to be a guest blogger for the "Mommy's Lil Monster Bash" over at Family and Life in Las Vegas. Super excited about this and trying my best come up with some killer ideas. But you will have to head over there to see them when the time is right! I will keep you posted!

The Nitty Gritty!
We repeat activities that we have done on here all the time! I don't usually talk about it because I want to try and always introduce new things but when a two year old really wants to do the same thing that we did yesterday I can't always say no. And I do think of those days as successes because it lets me know she really did like the activity.
I wanted to end tonight with a question for my readers. What would you like to see more of? Activities, crafts, outdoor stuff, indoor stuff, books, games, walks, etc? I wouldl love to hear what you are interested in or would like more ideas for. Leave a comment and let me know.
Hi! I can't really say what I would like more of because I have only recently started following you and have only read 3 or 4 posts so far. However, I will tell you that I love "The Nitty Gritty". I think its fantastic the way you break it all down. Keep up the good work! :)
