Our day started early this morning and I looked out the window and saw a beautiful moon outside.
I have been wanting to do an early morning walk for a while so today seemed like the perfect day.
I bundled Sam up and kept Avery in her jammies and we headed out.
We looked at the moon. Watched a ton of butterflies flying in our neighbors garden. Listen to a ton of birds. And felt the dew that was still on the grass (Sam didn't get what this was about!). It was great to see the day in a new perspective, get up and get going early and show Sam a few new things.
So proud of this photo because my daughter is levitating!! HA!
But the big news from today (totally not "greening" related AT ALL but very important) is that Avery had her MRI and her head is fine! She has been off the growth charts now for quite a few months and the doctor wanted to rule out a few things so we had the MRI. It was stressful going through that and waiting for the results but now we know she just has a HUGE head!! Hopefully she will grow into it eventually!

The Nitty Gritty!
Most people probably experience the early morning on a regular basis but our house is pretty calm and contained indoors until late morning. So getting up and going early is something very new for us. But it was so worth the effort for me to throw clothes on and head outside before my breakfast and tea! Sam got such a kick out of going outside first thing in the morning, seeing the moon and the wet grass (even though she thought it was just from the rain).
This has made me very excited for later this Fall when we will get to stay up a little late with her and see the night and stars for the first time (yes she has stayed up late enough to see dark before but not when we have been outside enjoying it!).
First, I am so happy everything is fine with Avery! Second, you have given me an extra kick in the rear to get out earlier. I have this fantasy about early morning walks but I haven't done it yet. You all look like you had a blast! Thanks for sharing, and I am glad that everything is fine with your babe! Peace, Angela

This really looks like fun. We don't usually get out until late morning either, although partially due to my kids sleeping a bit later in the morning, but we are definitely going to try this. Glad everything with Avery is fine! :)

It must be such a relief to have good news about Avery. Thank you so much for sharing this post with the Play Academy - this is such a great way to start the day. I've sorted out the link for you - think it was the photo that caused the problem :)

My L had a big head too. And he's just fine...and it's not nearly as big, percentile-wise, as it used to be!
