This morning was a quick activity for Avery. We are headed out of town in just a few hours so I knew I had to get something in this morning.
So we did something that we have done before but always enjoy. Sam isn't really into this activity but Avery loves it. I simply lay a blanket down in the yard directly under a bush. Avery gets to lay underneath and play with the leaves, look up at the sky and look at the leaves. On windy days this is especially enjoyable for her!
The camera was already packed so these pictures are older but it gives you the idea of what I am describing.

The Nitty Gritty!
I first had this idea as something that I could do with Sam; lay the blanket underneath different types of trees, out in the open, and underneath bushes as a way to examine the way the view changed. She didn't understand what we were doing and would rather swing or run around but I quickly discovered how much Avery enjoyed it. A failure for one is a success for another!
What a fun activity! I think Sammy is the same as Sam and would rather run and jump and climb... but when he was little he loved this! Have a fun trip!
