We hiked this morning, just Avery and me. It was awesome.
She did the first probably 2/3 of the hike in the backpack and then I let her down to hike on her own.
We kept our eyes out for butterflies. We only saw one monarch but we saw lots of these little yellow and white butterflies.
And this wooly caterpillar was a great find!
We also saw a snake, a turkey vulture, a goose, grasshoppers and lots of crickets.
Of course Avery's favorite part was just being able to run and play on the trail once I set her down.
A great way to spend our morning while Sam was in school.
