This week has been all about parks for us. Picnics at parks with friends. Parks as a break on a bike ride. Discovering new parks with great bridges and green space. All about the parks! Which makes for a great week of outdoor play. We have mixed in lots of backyard play too.
I have been horrible at this hosting a blog hop thing. I have been completely forgetting to feature my favorite ideas from the previous week! Ugh. So, this week I am sharing THREE that I loved from last week.
This first one we have tried and it is so much fun! So be sure to go and check out Shape-scotch; a unique twist on hopscotch. Our shape-scotch quickly grew into covering most of the driveway with shapes so that she could hop all around, hop in patterns and use it like an obstacle course. Even Avery "hopped" around a little!
Love this idea and hoping the weather lets us keep these shapes around a few more days! Thanks Mom With A Lesson Plan for sharing this one!
Let the Children Play never disappoints but this idea she shared about kids constructing their own obstacle course out of loose parts is great! If you have any hesitation about including loose parts in your backyard or preschool outdoor play area this is a MUST read.
I am a sucker for a picnic, we have them as often as we can, but the thought of leaving a picnic set up out permanently has never occurred to me! Permanent picnic, what a great outdoor play idea! Thanks Lissy Bug for sharing this idea with us.
Okay, be sure to check out those favorites of mine from last week!
